According to the governor’s press service, 67% of beds for COVID-19 patients and 71% of ventilators are occupied in Warmia and Mazury. In the region, 125 new coronavirus infections were reported on Tuesday.
The spokesman for the Warmian-Masurian Voivode Krzysztof Guzek said that there are 1,482 covid beds in the region, of which 995 are occupied, i.e. 67%. In addition, there are 174 ventilators in hospitals, of which 124 are occupied., i.e. 71%.
He pointed out that the number of places for COVID-19 patients is constantly being increased. “This week there will be new beds in Szczytno, Ełk and Lidzbark Warmiński,” he added.
Since last Tuesday, the number of hospitalized patients in the region has decreased by 18. However, the high number of occupied ventilators remains.
According to Tuesday’s report from the Ministry of Health, 125 new coronavirus infections were confirmed in Warmia and Mazury and there were no deaths. 10,407 people are in quarantine.
Over 242.5 thousand vaccinations have been done in the region, including 72.6 thousand second doses.
